The Jacksonville Jaguars had two players earn AFC Player of the Month honors for December 2025 -- quarterback Trevor Lawrence on offense and kicker Cam Little on special teams.
The NFL announced the plaudits on Thursday, ahead of the start of the NFL playoffs this weekend.
Lawrence has been on a tear since Jacksonville's eight-game win streak began in Week 11 with 35-6 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. But Lawrence's performances in the Jags' last four contests have been filled with career-high stats and NFL-record outings.
In December, Lawrence led Jacksonville to a 5-0 record and completed 105 of 165 passes for 1,371 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the AFC, along with 124 rushing yards and four TDs on the ground.
Lawrence, 26, became the only player in NFL history with at least five passing TDs, 300 passing yards, one rushing TD, and 50 rushing yards in a single game -- a career-defining performance in Week 15 against the New York Jets. In a 34-20 upset win the following week at Denver, he became the third player in NFL history to have at least 275 passing yards, three passing TDs and one rushing TD in consecutive games. in that two-week span, Lawrence accounted for 10 total touchdowns and zero turnovers, becoming the fourth player in league history to do so, joining QBs Josh Allen (2024), Drew Brees (2019) and Patrick Mahomes (2018).
The No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Lawrence was the only AFC player in Weeks 14-18 to account for multiple TDs in every game and had a passer rating above 100.0 in four of five games. The former Clemson QB notched career-high passer-ratings last month -- 136.7 versus the Jets in Week 15, 131.9 versus Tennessee in the teams' season finale. Against the Titans, Lawrence broke the single-season franchise record for total touchdowns in a season with 38.
Lawrence was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week the Jaguars routed the Jets in Week 15. That was the fourth POW honor of his five-year pro career. (Lawrence was named POW twice in 2022 and once in 2023.) This is his first AFC POM award.
Cam Little, who already owns the record for the longest field goal in NFL history (a 68-yarder in Week 9 at Las Vegas), was on fire in the last month of the season.
In his sophomore season in the NFL, Little in December converted a perfect 11 of 11 field goal attempts, went 3-of-3 from 50-plus yards, and made all 21 extra point attempts for 54 total points.
He converted both FG attempts and made 5 of 5 extra point attempts for 11 total points against the Titans in Week 18. The performance gave Little a franchise-record 140 points on the season. In Week 15, as the Jaguars hosted the Jets, Little became the youngest player in NFL history (22 years, 119 days) to reach 50 career field goals.
Lawrence and Little are the second and third Jaguars to win Player of the Month honors this season after linebacker Devin Lloyd won AFC Defensive Player of the Month in September.
Lawrence’s OPOM nod is the fifth a Jaguars player has earned in franchise history, while Little’s Special Teams POM honor marks the fourth time. Jacksonville now has 14 player of the month awards all-time.
