New renderings of the $1.4 billion transformation of EverBank Stadium have been released, showing a beautiful and modern new home for the Jaguars that is destined to provide a great fan experience.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have released brand new renderings of Stadium of the Future.
The enormous renovation project for EverBank Stadium will be in full view of fans during the upcoming 2026 season. With an estimated cost of $1.4 billion, the team is promising to deliver a "one-of-a-kind" modern home for the Jaguars.
As construction continues, the upper level of EverBank Stadium will be closed off, lowering capacity for the Jaguars' home games to 42,500. Jacksonville will only be playing six of the team's eight home games in Jacksonville this season, while playing the other two "home" games in London.
The Jaguars will play their home games at Camping World Stadium in Orlando during the 2027 season, before returning to Jacksonville to christen Stadium of the Future in 2028.
Jaguars President Mark Lamping appeared on a preseason broadcast to talk about the project and assure fans that their home-game experience will not be affected very much this season, despite the ongoing work.
"This is one of a kind, not only the re-imagination of it, the scale and scope of it, but the fact we're playing a season in the middle of construction," Lamping said.
"It's never enough time, but it's always just what you need. There will be a lot of hard work. With this project, there are surprises around every corner.
"You need outstanding people leading this… It's been an unbelievable job to get this place ready."
New Renderings
The new renderings released by the team offer a glimpse into many of the new stadium's entrances, concourses, and even show possible bars and sideline lounges.
There is a new South Patio Club and a long field-level lounge. As expected, the renderings also highlight the brand-new roof, which will provide plenty of shade for fans on game days.
Tim Walters of The Florida Times-Union also released the new renderings, showing views of new concourses and what several different entrances will look like.
Final Thoughts
The renderings of the new stadium look beautiful and show a home for the Jaguars that the city and fans will be proud of.
Jacksonville fans are sacrificing a lot for Stadium of the Future. Not only will home games this year be played with very noticeable, ongoing construction happening in the background, but there will be two less home games for fans to attend, and the six remaining home contests will have a significantly lowered capacity.
Next season, fans will have to deal with their favorite team playing "home" games in a different city almost 150 miles away.
After seeing the newly released renderings, it appears that the wait for the new stadium, and the inconveniences that will be ongoing until it is finished, will be worth it.
Stadium of the Future looks like it will be a beautiful building, and help attract people from all over to come to Jacksonville. It will also be worthy of being a regular host for Super Bowls and other high-profile events.
