Tight end Nate Boerkircher anchors a 10-man rookie class ready for OTAs. With contracts finalized, Jacksonville’s newest additions aim to master Liam Coen’s complex system before preseason play.
The Jacksonville Jaguars can now hit the ground running into the 2026 season as all 10 of their 2026 draft selections have signed their rookie deals.
Despite being without a first-round selection after trading up for Travis Hunter in the 2025 draft, the Jaguars’ had the largest draft class since making 13 picks in the 2023 draft.
On May 21, Jacksonville’s first pick in the draft this year, TE Nate Boerkircher, became the final rookie to sign with the team after agreeing to a four-year, $8.5 million deal.
Many maligned the second-round selection (No. 56) of the 6-foot-5 former Texas A&M Aggie, but because of his blocking ability Boerkircher gives head coach Liam Coen the ability to employ heavier personnel and create mismatches for the opposing defense.
"You can tell he's got a calming confidence about him," Coen said during rookie minicamp earlier this month.
Although Boerkircher caught just 19 passes in his lone season at Texas A&M, he did average 10.4 yards per catch and had three touchdown receptions.
On May 7, the team announced it had signed their other nine draft selections. According to Over The Cap, defensive tackle Albert Regis (No. 81), guard Emmanuel Pregnon (No. 88), safety Jalen Huskey (No. 100), EDGE Wesley Williams (No. 119) and tight end Tanner Koziol (No. 164) will each make $1 million or more this season. Wide receivers Josh Cameron (No. 191) and CJ Williams (No. 203), defensive end Zach Durfee (No. 233) and linebacker Parker Hughes (No. 240) signed contracts that will pay them more than $900,000 in their rookie seasons.
Coen said the team is looking for all the rookies to learn fast.
“I wouldn't say either of our offensive and defensive systems are ‘easy,’ and so we do value players that can do different things and can mentally play the game fast," Coen said.
Combined, the 2026 Jaguars’ draft class played in 455 career games with four of those players with more than 50 games in their college careers (Boerkircher, Regis, Pregnon, Cameron).
Jacksonville will host its OTA offseason workouts on May 26, May 28-29, June 1-2, June 4 and June 15-17. The mandatory minicamp for veterans will take place June 9-11.
The Jaguars open the 2026 preseason at New Orleans on Aug. 15, then take on the Carolina Panthers (Aug. 21) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Aug. 28) at EverBank Stadium. Jacksonville opens the regular season at home against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 13.
