Jaguars Steamroll Colts For Fifth Win of the Season
Nov 1, 2026 9:47 PM

The Jaguars dominated the rebuilding Colts 42-7 on Sunday and now have a three-game lead in the AFC South.

A rested, motivated Jacksonville Jaguars team taking on a depleted, rebuilding Indianapolis Colts team at home had a chance to get ugly.

It did.

The Jaguars steamrolled the Colts 42-7 to move to 5-2 on the season. Jacksonville now has a full three-game lead over the 2-5 Houston Texans, who are on their bye week.

The Colts, who have already started rebuilding by trading guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, two of the team’s best players, had nothing for the Jaguars on Sunday.

The Jaguars raced out to a 28-0 lead by halftime. Trevor Lawrence threw touchdown passes to Brian Thomas Jr. and rookie Nate Boerkircher before a 39-yard gallop by Bhayshul Tuten made it 21-0.

Right before the half, safety Rayuan Lane III brought down the house with a 92-yard pick-six.

In the third quarter, Chris Rodriguez Jr. put the Jaguars up 35-0 with a 28-yard TD run.

The rout was on.

Lawrence would throw his third TD of the game, a 25-yarder to Tuten, on the final play of the third quarter, to make the score 42-7.

That would end Lawrence’s day after another MVP-level, efficient performance. He finished the game 10 for 14 for 210 yards, three TDs, and zero interceptions, though he did lose a fumble.

Quick Hits

Tuten was outstanding, rushing for 104 yards on 16 carries and catching two for 55 yards, with two total TDs.

No Jaguar had more than two catches. Jacksonville didn’t throw much because of the score.

Embattled WR Brian Thomas Jr. must have felt good opening the scoring with his second TD of the season, but it was his only catch of the day.

Jacksonville held Colts superstar RB Jonathan Taylor to 23 rushing yards on eight carries.

The pass rush came alive with four sacks on Sunday. Foye Oluokun, Jalen Huskey, and Travon Walker each had one, while Josh Hines-Allen and Arik Armstead split the other.

The Jaguars won the turnover battle 3-1. They had a pair of interceptions, including Lane’s pick-six, and also recovered a Taylor fumble.

Jacksonville committed another eight penalties, bring the team’s total to 40 over its last four games.

Final Thoughts

The Jaguars thoroughly dominated the Colts on Sunday. Kudos to Liam Coen for having his team ready to go after the bye week and not overlooking a depleted Colts squad.

Up next for Jacksonville is a road matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football, so the Jaguars will have a short week to prepare for a tough AFC opponent.
