Long snapper Ross Matiscik has been named to the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl, the only player from the Jacksonville Jaguars to make the roster for the AFC, the league announced Tuesday morning.
The selection of Matiscik comes as the Jags sit atop the AFC South, at 11-4, with the potential to take the No. 1 seed in the conference playoff bracket.
Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik picks up his third straight Pro Bowl invitation. (Corey Perrine/Florida Times-Union)Pro Bowl selections are made through a combination of votes from fans, current players, and coaches. Each bloc accounts for 1/3 of the total votes, to insure a consensus about who are the best players of the year at every position.
Alternate selections for the 2026 Pro Bowl include quarterback Trevor Lawrence, running back Travis Etienne Jr., linebacker Devin Lloyd, and Parker Washington, in his role as a punt returner. Alternates are expected to fill in for Pro Bowlers who can't participate in the Pro Bowl Game, set for Feb. 3 in San Francisco during Super Bowl week.
The selection is the third straight for Matiscik, who joins QB Mark Brunell, DT Marcus Stroud, RB Maurice Jones-Drew and DE Calais Campbell in becoming the fifth three-time Pro Bowlers selection from the Jaguars. Matiscik is one of seven Jaguars to make the Pro Bowl three or more times. (Offensive tackle Tony Boselli and receiver Jimmy Smith both were selected five times.)
