Thursday was Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, where kickers, defensive linemen and linebackers with big-league aspirations displayed their gridiron prowess for the team scouts and general managers.
Jacksonville Jaguars coach Liam Coen and GM James Gladstone are not present at the combine, electing to burn the midnight oil in the film room, studying game tape of draft prospects. They are leaving the task of interviewing these prospects to Jaguars assistant coaches and team scouts.
The Jaguars have talked to some talented players, on both sides of the ball.
At 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Delp earned a Pro Football Focus (PFF) grade of 63.1 as he moves on from the Georgia Bulldogs. In 2025, Delp hauled in 20 of Gunner Stockton’s passes for 261 yards and one touchdown.
In 2024, Endries was the leading receiver at Cal and caught passes from presumed No. 1 draft pick, quarterback Fernando Mendoza. At 6-foot-4, 236 pounds, he caught 33 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns last season from Arch Manning at Texas. In three games last season, Endries averaged over 20 yards per catch, including the win over arch-rival Texas A&M. He earned a PFF grade of 68.5.
A mammoth human specimen at 6-foot-9, 315 pounds, Burke was a first-team All-AAC selection for the Tigers. With 33 games of collegiate experience, Burke allowed just three sacks in 429 snaps in pass-blocking situations in 2025. He earned a PFF grade of 84.5.
A first-team All-Big 12 selection last season, Abney has earned a PFF grade of 86.3 and ranks No. 36 on PFF’s Big Board. In 2025, Abney logged 44 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, one blocked kick, and 12 pass break-ups.
Ranked No. 42 on NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s Top 50 Draft Prospects, Hill has graded out at 72.8, according to PFF. With the Longhorns last season, Hill racked up with 69 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, seven tackles for loss, four sacks and three forced fumbles. For his efforts, Hill was named second-team All-SEC.
In a report by Paul Bretl of Jaguars Wire, Hill said this about his interview with the Jaguars, "I had a great time with them. It was a great interview. I had fun with them, and they’re a great organization."
At the combine on Thursday, Hill ran a 4.52 in the 40-yard dash.
As linebacker Devin Lloyd is set to enter the free-agent market, the Jaguars could use a talented player like Hill at the position.
The Jaguars do not have a first-round pick, but have pick No. 56 on Day 2 of the NFL draft.
On Day 2 of the scouting combine, Jacksonville scouts and team officials met with more prospects -- four of them talented players on offense that may signal what positions the Jags will look to fill and replace with fresh troops.
