The Jacksonville Jaguars played Travis Hunter 76 snaps at defensive back on Sunday, by far the most of the season. He shined, recording multiple highlight plays and helping stifle the Bengals' passing attack.

The Jacksonville Jaguars exacted revenge for last year's tight loss to the Cincinnati Bengals when the two squads matched up on Sunday, with the defense holding star quarterback Joe Burrow in check and negating the opposing run game.

Former Heisman winning WR/DB Travis Hunter played the most snaps at defensive back in his NFL career, leading the team with 76.

Hunter had only played in about 59% of the defensive plays in Jacksonville's Week 2 loss, while continuing to have a very minor role on offense.

But, against the New England Patriots, Hunter's workload continued to work up, with the former No. 2 overall pick playing in 45 defensive snaps and recording his first career interception.

On Sunday, he nearly had his second, but a roughing the passer penalty gave the ball back to the Bengals.

On an overthrown ball to Bengals wideout Tee Higgins, Hunter jumped up and grabbed the interception.

Higgins attempted to bring down Hunter, but he flashed some of his ability with the ball in his hands, hitting Higgins with a nasty juke move and burning down the sideline for a big return.

Following the win, Hunter joked with the media that this year's game was no different than last season's defeat because he didn't get his interception before saying it was "great" to come out of Cincinnati with a win.

With Hunter primarily playing on the defensive side of the ball, he has begun to look more comfortable, and his snap count continues to ramp up.

Overall, the former No. 2 overall pick recorded four tackles and two passes defensed, flying around the field and continuing to post elite metrics in man-to-man coverage.

Alongside Los Angeles Rams defensive back Trent McDuffie, Hunter is one of two corners to hold opposing quarterbacks to a 0.0 passer rating when targeting him in man defense.

After missing out on his first highlight due to penalty, Hunter caused a sea of "Ooohs" from a big hit laid on Bengals wideout Dohnte Meyers.

Hunter was fired up after the play, dapping up his teammates and hustling back to the huddle.

His stellar play on Sunday couldn't have come at a better time, especially considering Jacksonville was without Montaric "Buster" Brown, the team's No. 1 corner.

Head coach Liam Coen assessed Hunter's play simply following the victory, saying that he "balled," and saying that there is still room to fit him in on offense as players return to health in the secondary.

Sitting atop the AFC South at 3-1, the schedule remains tough with the Jaguars playing facing off with the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday in London.

The Jaguars are 7-6 all-time in international games, and will look to stay above .500 on Sunday morning.
