
The Jacksonville Jaguars placed Jourdan Lewis on injured reserve on Christmas Day, after the starting cornerback suffered a foot injury in last Sunday's win over the Broncos in Denver.
Lewis is expected to undergo season-ending surgery, NFL Network's Tom Tom Pelissero reported Thursday.
Part of a stitched-together Jags secondary that has managed a variety of injuries throughout the season, Lewis now joins star rookie CB Travis Hunter on IR. Hunter, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 draft, had season-ending ACL surgery in November.
The Jags signed Keith Taylor on Thursday. The journeyman cornerback most recently was part of the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad. Taylor previously spent two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after two years with the Carolina Panthers, who drafted him in 2021.

Jags defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile last week called the unit "total pros."
Signed in March after eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Lewis totaled 39 tackles, two INTs and a fumble return in 12 games this season in a secondary rotation that includes Greg Newsome II, Montaric Brown, Jarrian Jones and Christian Braswell.
Lewis sat out three games after leaving Week 9's matchup against the against the Las Vegas Raiders with a neck injury.
Newsome did not practice Wednesday after he left Sunday's game in Denver with a shoulder injury. The fifth-year outside corner notched his first INT in Week 14 against the Colts, but has been in and out of the lineup due to injuries.
Both Brown, who has started 10 games this season, and Jones, with three starts, have pulled down two interceptions this season and combined for 87 tackles.
The Jaguars (11-4) are expected to release another injury report on Friday before the team travels to Indianapolis to take on the division-rival Colts (8-7), who rank third in the AFC South.
Starting center Robert Hainsey (groin) and right guard Patrick Mekari (back) are not expected to play Sunday at Indy.
