Looking back at the Jaguars' 2025 free agency class, the spotlight shifts to cornerback Jordan Lewis.
We rewind the tape to the 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars offseason. It seemed obvious that a reset was needed.
They had finished the previous regular-season with a 4-13 record.
Typically when that happens, change is imminent, and it was again in this case.
Doug Pederson was handed his walking papers after, and it was said at the time that he "fell seismically short of owner Shad Khan's expectations."
Liam Cohen was hired, and one of his first orders of business was rebuilding a shattered roster.
The secondary was an area of primary focus, and after losing Tyson Campbell, Jourdan Lewis was signed in hopes that he could help stabilize a defense in transition.

So, how did that go? Truth be told, the jury is still out. Still, one can argue that things are trending in an appropriate direction.
Lewis's arrangement was a three–year deal paying him $30 million that included $20 million guaranteed with an initial signing bonus of $10 million.
As fate would have it, there was an announcement made on Christmas 2025 of all days, that he'd require season-ending surgery to repair a foot injury suffered in Week 16 versus the Denver Broncos.
He enters year two after racking up 39 tackles, two interceptions, and ten pass breakups during 12 games with seven starts in his inaugural season.
He is expected to be the starting slot cornerback alongside the outside guys, Montaric Brown and Travis Hunter
Lewis' career roundup so far.
Lewis's NFL career began as a third-round draft choice taken by the Dallas Cowboys.
In eight seasons, he started 64 of his 115 regular-season game appearances. He also started one of four postseason games.
It is often expected that a former two-time First-Team American becomes a regular on the NFL 's All-Pro list. That hasn't happened for for Lewis yet, but there's still hope.
With that said, the expectation is the Jaguars will utilize some draft capital to add at least one more cornerback for depth.
Remember, Hunter suffered a season-ending injury last season too. If Lewis can return and prove he's 100-percent healthy, that will without question be a very welcomed (and much-needed) boost for a Jaguars organization looking to build on an impressive campaign where they tallied 13 wins after racking up 13 losses the year prior.
