Here are three of the biggest X-Factors for the Jets to get back on track this week.

The New York Jets fell short in their bid to take down the New England Patriots last week, seeing their record drop to 2-4 on the season.

But despite the record, the Jets have been much more competitive this year, with the team having a chance to win each week. Under head coach Aaron Glenn, New York has started to build something special, but now the next step is learning how to finish games strong.

This week, the Jets will be hosting the Miami Dolphins, offering the team a chance to get back on track. Miami comes into the game fresh off a bye week, holding a record of 0-5 on the season.

New York has no desire to become the Dolphins' first win of the season, but this team can't overlook this winless team. Here are three of the biggest X-Factors for the Jets to avoid the upset this week:

1. Geno Smith Gets Back on Track

Part of why New York has gotten off to a solid start has been the play from quarterback Geno Smith. Smith has given this offense some new life, with the veteran signal-caller playing much better than most people expected.

But against the Patriots, Smith finally threw his first interception of the year, which aided in the team's loss. So, against the Dolphins, Smith will need to perform better, limiting any turnovers against a feisty Miami defense.

2. Running Game Dominates

New York has been without star running back Breece Hall for the last few games, with Braelon Allen filling in. But the Jets may be getting Hall back for the game against Miami, which could help spark the offensive attack.

No matter who is starting, the Jets need to dominate on the ground to help set up the pass in this game against the Dolphins. If Hall does return, it could make life much easier, but Allen has been able to hold his own this year.

3. Pressure Malik Willis

The Dolphins passing game has been one of the worst in the NFL, with quarterback Malik Willis struggling to push the ball down the field. New York has a strong defensive front, and they have the talent to make life tough on Miami.

If the Jets can pressure Willis early on, it could knock him out of any rhythm, especially with this team coming off a bye week. New York's defense will play a big role in this game, helping the Jets try to get back on track.
