Many haven't questioned what the New York Jets did during the NFL Draft outside of their selection at No. 2, selecting David Bailey over Ohio State star Arvell Reese.

I've been on record multiple times saying that I would have gone with Reese, but I'm also not a decision maker in the Jets building. I didn't see what they saw, and I totally can't get upset about them going with a very good player in Bailey.

It'll be interesting to see if it works out, but New York has a lot of confidence in its decision, with higher-ups in the organization stating that they felt he was the best pass rusher in the class and can get better as time goes on.

"We felt like he was the best pass rusher in the class and we really wanted to add pass rush and he's a clean prospect. He's an explosive athlete. He's got twitch, he's got explosion and he's got power,” Darren Mougey said, per the team.

"He is a 6-4, 255-pound man with long arms who is explosive as far as his takeoff. Not only can he speed-rush, but he also has the chance to rush with power. The first-step quickness is obvious when you watch the tape, the way he's able to beat tackles around the edge. But don't take him for a guy that can just rush with speed around the edge.

"Man, there are several long-armed, power things that he's done within his game that allows him to be able to show that he can rush for power. So, listen, we're going to try to unlock everything that he can,” Aaron Glenn said.

My reasoning for wanting Reese over Bailey was due to him coming in and making a bigger impact right away. I also think Reese has a chance to be an elite, elite player one day, though I can see the argument for Bailey as well.
