How many games will the New York Jets win in 2026?
The New York Jets' 2026 schedule was released on Thursday.
In Year 2 of the Aaron Glenn era, the Jets will face the Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Bills.
New York went 3-14 last season and became the first team in NFL history to not record a defensive interception and lose five straight games by 23 or more points within a single season. It was an ugly season.
However, Bleacher Report NFL analyst Moe Moton predicts that the Jets will win six games next season, which would be a solid improvement for Glenn's group.
In the 2026 NFL Draft, the Jets did pretty well. They took David Bailey, Sadiq, Omar Cooper Jr., D'Angelo Ponds, Darrell Jackson Jr., Cade Klubnik, Anez Cooper and VJ Payne.
Before the draft, the Jets acquired Geno Smith from the Raiders, Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Dolphins and T'Vondre Sweat from the Titans and signed Demario Davis and Tim Patrick.
It's been a productive offseason for New York, one that Breece Hall has been paying attention to.
Hall and the Jets agreed to a three-year $45.75 million extension last week. He's now the third-highest paid running back in the league.
"Honestly, just the fact that they brought a proven veteran in like Geno and then we drafted some really good guys … let me know that, OK, we're really trying to build something here," Hall said. "It definitely meant a lot for me because they showed me and told me that they wanted me to be a part of this thing, so I'm definitely happy to be here."
All signs point toward the Jets missing the playoffs again next season. However, they shouldn't be the laughingstock of the league again after having a strong draft and offseason transaction cycle.
"The Jets' mix of young and established veterans should translate to notable progress, but they'll play arguably the two best divisions, the NFC North and the AFC West," Moton wrote. "Nonetheless, Gang Green takes a small step in the right direction."
