Breece Hall opened up about the New York Jets' offseason.
In the 2026 NFL Draft, the New York Jets did pretty well. They took David Bailey, Sadiq, Omar Cooper Jr., D'Angelo Ponds, Darrell Jackson Jr., Cade Klubnik, Anez Cooper and VJ Payne.
Before the draft, the Jets acquired Geno Smith from the Las Vegas Raiders, Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins and T'Vondre Sweat from the Tennessee Titans and signed Demario Davis.
It's been a productive offseason for New York, one that Breece Hall has been paying attention to.
"Honestly, just the fact that they brought a proven veteran in like Geno and then we drafted some really good guys … let me know that, OK, we're really trying to build something here," Hall said. "It definitely meant a lot for me because they showed me and told me that they wanted me to be a part of this thing, so I'm definitely happy to be here."
Hall and the Jets agreed to a three-year $45.75 million extension last week. He's now the third-highest paid running back in the league.
Hall finished the 2025 season with 1,065 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 36 receptions, 350 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
A talented playmaker, Hall has 18 rushing touchdowns and nine receiving touchdowns with the Jets.
Hall enters next season with 3,398 rushing yards and 1,642 receiving yards in his career. Now that Hall has financial security, he can focus on football and do everything he can to help turn the Jets organization around.
"Everyone knows that we're here for the long haul and we're willing to deal with the good, the bad, the ugly, but also the positives, too," Hall said. "So I think, for me and G [Garrett Wilson], it's like we want to show who we are and what we can do on a consistent basis so bad, and we feel like we're finally getting into a position and our coaches are putting us into position to where we can really just take that stress cap off and just be ourselves."
The Jets went just 3-14 last season. It will be fascinating to see how Gang Green performs in Year 2 of the Aaron Glenn era.
