Erich Richter of the New York Post asked Breece Hall if he wants to return to the New York Jets this offseason and the talented RB gave a rather ominous answer.
Hall becomes a free agent in March.
"You know, I don't know," Hall said. "I've addressed this for the last six, seven months now. But now I'm just kind of like whatever happens, happens.
"I'm just where my feet are, and letting God and my agent handle everything else. I feel like my play speaks for itself, considering the situations I've been in the last few years. I'm going to get everything that's coming to me, so I'm not too worried about it."
According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Jets are weighing all options with Hall's future, including a tag and/or an effort toward a long-term deal. Some inside the league expect the transition tag for Hall (around $11.7M), but that's yet to be determined.
Hall finished the 2025 season with 1,065 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 36 receptions, 350 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
Hall, who turns 25 in May, has 18 rushing touchdowns and nine receiving touchdowns with the Jets, who hired Frank Reich to be their offensive coordinator. Reich replaces Tanner Engstrand.
The Jets' offense was a walking disaster this season. They were 29th in the NFL in points per game and 32nd in passing yards.
Under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn, the Jets became the first team in NFL history to not record a defensive interception and lose five straight games by 23 or more points within a single season.
New York started three QBs in 2025: Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor and Brady Cook. The three QBs combined for 2,777 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers -- who was released by the Jets after Glenn was hired -- finished the 2025 season with 3,322 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hall will need to leave the Jets if he wants to play in the Super Bowl, as New York is nowhere near close to even making the playoffs. However, the Jets have control over this situation.
