The New York Jets are catching strays from former employees now.

The New York Jets fired seven assistant coaches last week.

Among those fired was passing game coordinator Scott Turner, who joined the Jets as Aaron Glenn's passing game coordinator.

Now that Turner is no longer with the Jets, he can speak his mind about the organization and the 43-year-old didn't hold back.

Turner went on social media and said he hates the Jets.

The Jets' offense was a walking disaster this season. They were 29th in the NFL in points per game and 32nd in passing yards.

New York started three QBs in 2025: Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor and Brady Cook. The three QBs combined for 2,777 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes.

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers -- who was released by the Jets after Glenn was hired -- finished the 2025 season with 3,322 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Jets have the second overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. They are expected to draft a QB and release Fields, who signed a two-year, $40 million contract last offseason.

New York has been a walking disaster for years. Many Jets fans believe Glenn should be fired since his team made putrid NFL history twice this season. New York is the first NFL team in history not to record a defensive interception and lose five straight games by 23 or more points in a single season.

After firing seven assistant coaches, Glenn and the Jets have a lot of work to do this offseason. Their biggest needs are getting a new DC and OC. Tanner Engstrand didn't get fired as OC, but he's not expected to call plays next season.

Multiple people around the NFL believe Wink Martindale is the favorite to get the Jets' DC job. Hiring Martindale should help the Jets' defense become better. The '23 New York Giants tied for the league lead with 31 takeaways with Martindale as their DC.

Glenn better have a major turnaround in 2026. Otherwise, he could get fired.
