Hall is expected to miss time.

New York Jets star running back Breece Hall is expected to miss a game or two, as he's currently out with an injury.

This is a major issue for a Jets team that can use all the help it can get on the offensive side of things, as they're starting to play much better on that side of the football.

In fact, one could even argue the Jets have been better offensively than they have in quite some time. Hall is dealing with a thigh injury, which is unfortunate as they head to Chicago to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

As for what the Jets can do on that side of things, specifically in the run game, as the unit outside of Hall hasn't exactly been great for a lot of the year, many are worried that things are going to be a problem against good teams like the Bears.

While Hall is clearly the top option, New York does have other options it can fall back on. That includes Braelon Allen, who's a completely different running back than Hall. Speaking to reporters, it sounds like the team will rely on him.

“We have Braelon, we have Isaiah, but I’ve never been the type of coach that blamed games or issues on injuries,” head coach Aaron Glenn said Monday, per the Post. “It’s a play style more than anything else that gets you over the hump.”

“That’s one area we have to fix,” Glenn said. “We have to have urgency of trying to make sure we get that done … To have these two games where we didn’t run it as well, that’s something we have to dial into to make sure we get those things fixed.”

In both losses this year for the Jets, the run game didn't feel that great. I'll give them some slack because Hall dealt with an injury during parts of that Detroit Lions game, but he wasn't any better against the Green Bay Packers, rushing 16 times for just 29 yards.

The pass attack has been very above average, with quarterback Geno Smith doing a great job in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Lions, but if New York doesn't establish the run in some of these games, it won't win at the level it wants to.

Glenn seems to understand that, so I'm curious to see what he does to make that change.
