This offseason, the New York Jets have made some significant changes to both sides of the ball and to the coaching staff.
Looking to the offensive side of the ball, Geno Smith, Kenyon Sadiq, Omar Cooper Jr., and Dylan Parham, along with Breece Hall's extension and Adonai Mitchell entering a full season with the Jets, make for a lot of key offseason moves on offense.
But that's not all; the Jets also have a new backup QB, and it's rookie fourth-rounder Cade Klubnik. Connor Hughes of SNY on the backup QB decision from Aaron Glenn, who shared a bold six-word message on Klubnik in this important role.

"Cade Klubnik will be the Jets' backup QB, Aaron Glenn says," Hughes reported. This shouldn't come as a surprise after Smith and Klubnik were the only QBs to make the initial 53-man roster.
But this decision from Glenn isn't one made out of a lack of other options. He strongly believes in Klubnik. His simple comment made that clear: "And he'll do a good job."
Klubnik, the fourth-round rookie quarterback out of Clemson, won the backup QB job over Brady Cook and Bailey Zappe.
While he didn't have an overly impressive preseason, he did show enough promise to earn the backup QB job in Glenn's eyes.
Against the New York Giants in the third and final preseason game, Klubnik went 6-for-13 for 59 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. He also ran the ball once for six yards.
Against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Klubnik went 10-for-14 for 75 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, while running once for 16 yards.
In his preseason debut, which came with the starters on offense with Smith out, Klubnik went 5-for-7 for 56 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, but it was a solid showing for the rookie in his first NFL experience.
Overall this preseason, Klubnik went 21-for-34 for 190 yards with no touchdowns, one interception, and 22 yards rushing on two attempts. Those aren't very encouraging numbers for the rookie QB.
But Glenn has seen enough, apparently, as he's gone with the Clemson rookie as the team's backup, and even went as far as to express a strong belief that Klubnik will "do a good job."
