Wilson wants to win with the Jets in New York.

After what was another disappointing week for the New York Jets in Week 6, losing to the New England Patriots 26-19, it's understandable why star wide receiver Garrett Wilson feels the way he does.

Wilson also didn't play too well in this game, catching just four passes for 44 yards. With six targets on the day, he had the second-most targets on the team, but his lack of offensive production was a problem in this game and part of why the Jets lost.

One promising sign from Wilson during much of his time in New York is that he hasn't been someone who causes drama.

Of course, like other players, Wilson has voiced frustration with the organization and the lack of winning. However, at no point over the past couple of seasons has it felt like he doesn't want to be in New York.

While his comments suggest that, one New York Post writer recently suggested that Wilson is growing frustrated because he believes the team can win games but isn't allowed to do so due to the lack of touches he's receiving.

If that's the case, it could be a problem for Wilson and the Jets in the short and long term.

“I was in the tunnel as Garrett came off the field yesterday. He was not happy, and I’m not going to quote him, but he was not happy. He was talking to his teammates, and he wasn’t happy about the way that game went for him,” Brian Costello said.

“He’s a good teammate, but he’s frustrated as hell right now. And you can’t blame him. And I think Garrett’s frustration comes from a place of, he believes he can help the team win the game, but he needs the ball in his hands to do it. And they’re just not figuring out ways to get him the ball.”

I don't necessarily mind Wilson being frustrated if he's not getting the ball enough. This isn't a guy who's said ridiculous things or made it seem like he doesn't want to be here any longer. The reality is that when a guy is as good as Wilson, he wants the football to be able to show people around the league that he can help his team win games.

Wilson has also made it clear that he wants to win at a high level, and he wants to do that in New York.

Whether that's the case long term remains to be seen, but if he really didn't want to be here, he likely wouldn't have taken an extension when he did.
