Jon Conahan and Charlie Baduini spoke on the New York Jets Roundtable podcast, with plenty to discuss.
With the upcoming game against the New England Patriots on Thursday night, Baduini and I both believe that the Jets aren't going to come away with a win in this one.
It's the unfortunate reality of just how good the Patriots are again, something the Jets never want to deal with.
Regarding their win in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns, while Baduini and I spoke about the possibility of the Jets' draft pick not being what the organization and fan base want it to be moving forward if they continue to win games, we both agreed that winning is never a bad thing.
At the end of the day, the Jets have to start winning games under Aaron Glenn, and every win right now, I believe, is a positive one.
For other things, we spoke about Ty Simpson, the quarterback from the University of Alabama.
It feels like, for some reason, Simpson isn't being talked about enough. When I look around the college football landscape, and Baduini as well, we both believe that Simpson is just as good as any other player in the country.
For some odd reason, right now, it seems like there's a top two with Dante Moore and Fernando Mendoza, while Simpson sits in the back.
To end our podcast, I thought it was important that we spoke about Garrett Wilson once again.
When I look at somebody like Wilson, I believe he's the future of this organization.
If Wilson is ready to go and the Jets bring in a competent quarterback, I totally see this offense figuring things out at the highest level.
Currently dealing with a knee injury, my idea is that the Jets absolutely can't have him playing in games the rest of the year.
I believe it'd be a bad decision to even risk something happening to one of the top wide receivers in the NFL.
With the lack of talent the Jets already have on the offensive side of the football, a long-term injury or an injury that could cause him to deal with it for the rest of his career would be a significant problem.
