We'll see about this one.

Not to say the New York Jets’ offense has been bad all season, as there have been moments when it looks above average, but calling it one of the better offensive units in the NFL would be completely unfair.

Frankly, the Jets still have a lot to show on both sides of the ball, including getting better offensively. Quarterback Geno Smith looks to be the best quarterback that the Jets have had in quite some time, but ultimately, is that really saying a lot?

As for how the Jets could look over the next couple of weeks, there's hope that this offense is going to be even better than it typically is. Not to say again that New York is going to have one of the better offensive units in football, but if you ask some of the players on the roster, they think they have a real opportunity to do so.

That includes one veteran who recently said that he believes this team has the capability of being the offense every fan hopes and dreams for, suggesting that it could even be the best in football.

"We could be the best, honestly. We could be the best. We have so much talent, it's insane. ... I've never been around this much talent, so I don't even know how to answer that question. It's going to be scary because it's just so many different ways we could win,” Tim Patrick said, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.

"I feel like the tight-end room here is what separates from that offense. It's a little bit more deeper, I would say. ... Obviously, Sam LaPorta is great. Brock (Wright) is great, but from top to bottom, we dress five tight ends every week. Not every team in the NFL can do that, and any one of those guys could be the guy. And we have freaking Sadiq -- he runs 4.3 and he's not from this planet. So it's just one of those things where it's like our tight-end room is going to make us the offense that we're going to be."

As for that tight end room, there is a lot to like about what the Jets have.

And when you factor in guys like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, despite Hall being injured, there is a lot to like about what the Jets can do offensively.

Now, the only question is whether this is a unit that's able to put it all together. That's the one thing I'm still skeptical of.
