There has been a major trade update on the New York Jets front.

New York Jets general manager Darren Mougey has certainly been busy over the last several months.

Back at the trade deadline, Mougey dealt cornerbacks Michael Carter and Sauce Gardner as well as defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. Then, earlier this week, he shipped edge rusher Jermaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans.

Could Mougey make yet another blockbuster trade?

Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has been floated in trade speculation for quite some time now, but barring a dramatic turn of events, it doesn't look like he'll be moving, per NFL insider Tony Pauline.

"There is speculation the Jets could trade Garrett Wilson, but I’m told that’s unlikely to happen unless a massive offer the team can’t refuse is placed in front of Gang Green," Pauline wrote. "The Jets, led by general manager Darren Mougey, extended Wilson’s contract prior to last season, as they did with Gardner. But those close to the situation tell me the Jets don’t want to trade Wilson and 'they love him,' which was an exact quote."

Wilson played in just seven games this past season due to a knee injury, logging 36 catches for 395 yards and four touchdowns during his time on the field.

The Ohio State product was originally selected by New York with the 10th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.

It didn't take long for Wilson to establish himself as one of the league's top receivers, as he caught 83 passes for 1,103 yards and four scores during his rookie campaign. That marked the first of three straight 1,000-yard seasons for Wilson.

The 25-year-old didn't appear to see eye-to-eye with Jets head coach Aaron Glenn in 2025, but it doesn't seem like Wilson is at all unhappy in the Big Apple.

After signing his four-year, $130 million extension with New York, Wilson is now under contract through 2030.

Wilson has tremendous trade value due to his age, production and contract situation, but it would not make sense for the Jets to move him at this point given how barren the rest of their wide receiver room currently is.

It would be surprising if New York didn't select another receiver to put alongside of Wilson in the NFL Draft.
