The New York Jets currently own one of the worst rosters in the NFL, and a legitimate argument can be made that is actually the worst 53-man group in football.
The good news is that the Jets are armed with vast cap space and an treasure trove of draft capital heading into the offseason, so they will have an opportunity to turn things around in the coming months.
New York owns a pair of first-round picks plus two second-rounders this April, and that includes possessing the No. 2 overall selection.
Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network recently ran a seven-round mock draft, and let's just say he has the Jets hitting the jackpot.
Cummings projects New York to select defensive end Rueben Bain — who some consider to be the best player in this entire draft class — with the No. 2 pick.
He then has the Jets bagging running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 16 as well as wide receiver Denzel Boston and defensive tackle Christen Miller with their next three draft choices.
That would represent a king's ransom of a haul for New York, which has needs everywhere you look.

Bain would instantly help Gang Green in that department, and having Miller on the interior would be largely beneficial, too.
Love is the best halfback in this class and just racked up 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns on 6.9 yards per carry at Notre Dame in 2025. He finished third in Heisman Trophy voting and is even regarded by some as a generational talent at his position.
Then, there's Boston, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound monster of a wide receiver who hauled in 62 receptions for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns for Washington this past season. Pairing him alongside of Garrett Wilson would be tremendous.
What's more, the Jets own eight draft picks from Rounds 4 through 7 (their third-round pick was conveyed to the Philadelphia Eagles via the Haason Reddick trade), so they will have plenty of chances to bag some talent.
Yes, New York went just 3-14 this past year, but believe it or not, it's actually an exciting time to be a Jets fan at the moment.
