The New York Jets have needs everywhere heading into the NFL offseason, and while their most obvious hole is at the quarterback position, they also must find some weapons.
Outside of Garrett Wilson, the Jets are incredibly barren in their receiving corps, so it will be imperative for New York to land some pieces via free agency and/or the draft.
The problem for the Jets is that while they have a wealth of cap room heading into the offseason, top free agents may be reluctant to join the team in its current state.
That means New York may have to rely on the draft quite a bit, but the good news is that the Jets have a pair of first-round picks at their disposal.
Jacob Infante of Pro Football Network posted a mock draft this week, and while he had New York shocking no one by landing Oregon quarterback Dante Moore at No. 2, he also predicted the Jets to bag Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson at No. 16.

"He adjusts his approach through his stems depending on the coverage he sees, showcasing good footwork and strong defensive pattern recognition as a route runner. He’s also an effective YAC receiver with good ball-carrier vision."
Tyson is projected by most to be a top-10 pick in this year's draft, with some even tabbing him as a potential top-five selection. So if he falls all the way to No. 16, it would represent a major steal for the Jets.
The 21-year-old caught 61 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games this season, missing some time due to a hamstring injury. The campaign prior, Tyson hauled in 75 receptions for 1,101 yards and 10 scores in 12 contests.
There is no question that Tyson's injury history is a bit concerning. A broken collarbone he suffered in the 2024 season finale prevented him from playing in last year's CFP, and he also tore his ACL, MCL and PCL at Colorado back in 2022.
Fortunately, Tyson has shown no ill effects of that devastating knee injury and has been able to establish himself as one of the top two receiver prospects in this year's draft class along with Ohio State's Carnell Tate, so he if slips to No. 16, it would be a huge get for the Jets.
