Should the New York Jets part ways with Isaiah Davis?

The New York Jets have been urged to consider trading RB Isaiah Davis by NFL analyst Moe Moton of Bleacher Report.

Here is why:

"The New York Jets signed Breece Hall to a three-year, $43.5 million extension, which ensures he'll maintain a featured role in their ground attack. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis will be limited in backup duties, though the latter has shown the ability to take on a three-down role. Davis finished the previous season with 422 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, while on the field for just 29 percent of the offensive snaps.

"The Jets may prefer to develop Allen rather than trade him because he's only 22 years old. Davis turned 24 in February, and he's a third-stringer with little room for a move up the depth chart. Gang Green could trade him as the team likely prepares Hall for a massive workload in the upcoming campaign."

Davis has a base salary of $1,075,000 next season. If he's not going to play much, the Jets might as well trade him and get some value in return.

For the Jets last season, Davis put up 236 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on 43 carries. He has 410 career rushing yards and two career rushing touchdowns.

Breece Hall and the Jets agreed to a three-year, $45.75 million extension this offseason. He's now the third-highest paid running back in the league, which means New York is going to give Hall a massive workload next season.

Hall finished the 2025 season with 1,065 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 36 receptions, 350 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

A talented playmaker, Hall has 18 rushing touchdowns and nine receiving touchdowns with the Jets. He enters next season with 3,398 rushing yards and 1,642 receiving yards in his career.

The Jets went just 3-14 last season. It will be fascinating to see how Gang Green performs in Year 2 of the Aaron Glenn era and if Davis gets traded before the season opener.

In Year 2 of the Glenn era, the Jets will face the Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, Dolphins, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Bills.
