This is huge news for the Jets.

The Jets face the Browns this week and NFL insider Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports knows who Aaron Glenn will start at quarterback.

According to Zenitz, Glenn will start Justin Fields.

Fields was benched at halftime against the Panthers, but he started the next week against the Bengals because Tyrod Taylor's surgically repaired knee was acting up.

Against the Bengals, Fields went 21-32 through the air for 244 yards and a touchdown. The Ohio State product also converted two two-point conversions in the fourth quarter, helping the Jets get their first win of the season.

Fields has 1,089 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, 288 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns on the season. He signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets in the offseason.

"We'll see," Fields said this week when reporters asked if he's starting in Week 10. "I just take it day by day, brother. I just go to work and work, that's it. Control what you can control."

Fields hasn't played well this season, but he drew strong praise from many people around the NFL for how he responded in Week 8.

Jets owner Woody Johnson publicly bashed Fields for his play, but the youngster didn't fire back, instead helping New York get its first win of the season.

"We've been building one thing since Week 1," Fields said. "A lot of those games were one-score games. Last game, we just happened to be on the other side of this one-score game this time. We know games are going to be like that week in and week out. But I think the biggest thing is building on this win and taking that into next week."

The Jets will miss the playoffs again this season. They will probably draft a quarterback in the 2026 draft, which means Fields will likely get traded or cut this offseason.

With that said, it's imperative that Fields finishes the season well so he can remain in the NFL.
