After seeing a trifecta of trades take place recently in the NFL, we may see even more trades go down.

One team that will likely be looking for help is the Los Angeles Chargers, specifically at running back, and there’s chatter that Breece Hall could be a target.

Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network mentioned that because the Chargers lost Najee Harris to a season-ending Achilles injury and Omarion Hampton to injured reserve, all options are on the table.

The difference is Hall has mentioned that he’s not interested in getting moved.

“This is probably like my fifth month dealing with this now. At this point, it is what it is,” Hall said after Thursday practice. “I’m here. I want to be here. I love being a New York Jet and everything. But at the end of the day, I don’t control what goes on. I only control what I do on the field and how I handle my business off the field.”

Hall may have said that he loves being a Jet, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that after a few brutal losses, he has been quite descriptive in his frustrations.

    Observe.

“I’m in my fourth year,” Hall said after the Week 5 loss to the Cowboys, “and I don’t have a lot of time left to prove what I want to do and who I can be in this league.”

“Teams shoot themselves in the foot then we come back and shoot ourselves in the head,” he said after the Jets’ Week 4 Monday Night Football loss to the Dolphins.

The fact is, Hall may truly love being a Jet, but based on these comments, he doesn’t like the things that come with being a Jet.

Frustration is mounting, and it doesn’t look like New York is getting any better any time soon.

Trading its top running back where backup Braelon Allen is already on IR until the end of the season is certainly bold, and it does hamper the team since Hall leads the team in not just rushing yards, but scrimmage yards as well.

Given that Hall brings a major need and he’s one of the top players at his position, he’d likely command a higher draft pick. Since it’s his contract year, the price for him is probably lower than what it would have been.

That said, Hall being the lead back for the Chargers could be electric (pardon the pun).  Plus it doesn’t force Hampton to rush back from his injury once his designation is done.

Then once Hampton returns, the Chargers’ backfield immediately becomes one of the  NFL’s most deadly.
