The New York Jets are 0-4 in Aaron Glenn's debut campaign as head coach, most recently falling to the previously winless Miami Dolphins.
Glenn apparently tore into the Jets following the loss and was so animated that his screams were heard echoing through the walls of Hard Rock Stadium.
So, what exactly did Glenn tell his team following another brutal defeat? Cornerback Sauce Gardner attempted to explain.
“I don’t remember exactly what the message was word for word, but we’re 0-4 and it’s not okay," Gardner said, via Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic.
Surely, Gardner remembers a good portion of Glenn's verbal assault. It just obviously isn't rated PG and cannot be shared with the media.

“It’s extremely shocking. I want to win. Period, point blank," Gardner said. "When I was younger coming into the league it was just like: me, Garrett [Wilson], the young people, we just got to do our job. But now it’s to a point where it’s like: it’s bigger than just me. I want to win. That’s something I want on my resume: Winning. Nobody wants to keep losing.”
The Jets have certainly done a whole lot of that over the last decade-and-a-half. New York has not made the playoffs in 15 years, representing the longest active postseason drought in football.
Glenn is now the sixth coach to lead Gang Green throughout that span, and he is finding out that the job is not easy.
No one expected the Jets to contend for much of anything in 2025, but no one was sure they would be quite this bad, either.
But to be fair to Glenn, New York does not have a long-term answer at quarterback, and outside of Wilson, the Jets are very thin in terms of wide receiver talent. That falls on the front office, which did a very poor job of acquiring capable offensive players throughout the offseason.
New York will get a chance to pick up its first win when it faces the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday.
