The trade deadline is just a few days away for the New York Jets, and everybody in the organization understands that there could be a few more players moved in the upcoming days.

The Jets are in a position where they could look to move on for multiple players, but it has to make sense for both the short-term and long-term interests of the organization. Trading players just to trade players often doesn't end well around the NFL, but it sounds like the Jets will listen to everyone.

"Everybody listens, but that doesn't mean that you act on anything," HC Aaron Glenn said, per the team. "You know, when someone calls, you listen, but actions speaks louder than words, you know, so I will just put it like that."

While listening to everyone is essential, it's more important that the Jets get precisely what they want in a return.

Again, that doesn't mean that they're going to be searching for first-round picks for every player on their roster, but if they can walk out of next week with a few second-round picks, some third-rounders, and even some late-round picks, they'll likely be in a better position than they currently are.

The reality of the current Jets situation is that the organization will have to build around the draft in the upcoming years.

While Glenn and others have decisions to make for the organization, the Jets reported that general manager Darren Mougey will be making the bulk of the decisions in the coming days.

“With the NFL's Trade Deadline set for Tuesday Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. ET, the Jets won't line up in game action again until their Nov. 9 home date against the Cleveland Browns (2-6). While Glenn and his coaching staff self-scout, Mougey and the personnel department will determine if any proposals can aid the current team or if the acquisition of future assets can speed up the process for a team that is building.”

There are obviously a few prime trade candidates on the Jets' current roster, so it'll be interesting to see which way they go.

It's possible that multiple players could be dealt, while we may also see many players who we think could be traded not get moved.
