The Lions and Packers bring explosive offenses into Sunday's divisional showdown. I'm 10–8 on the season and targeting three player props to cash at Ford Field.
The Detroit Lions take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Ford Field in their first NFC North divisional matchup of the season. With both teams boasting explosive offenses, there are plenty of opportunities for player props to hit.
I’m currently 10–8 on the season and looking to improve that record with these three best bets for Lions vs. Packers.
1. Tucker Kraft Over 49.5 Receiving Yards
Despite Tucker Kraft hitting this number just once this season, I still love this bet. Detroit has allowed an average of 109 receiving yards per game to tight ends. Last week, the Lions allowed Arizona’s tight ends to combine for 14 receptions on 15 targets for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
Over the last two weeks, Kraft has recorded 13 targets and 101 receiving yards. I expect Detroit to focus on limiting Green Bay’s outside receiving threats, including Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, which could leave opportunities for Kraft to make plays over the middle and underneath.
With Detroit’s struggles against tight ends, I like Kraft to surpass 49.5 receiving yards.
2. Sam LaPorta Over 49.5 Receiving Yards
Sam LaPorta was a major talking point this week after comments about his contract negotiations with Detroit potentially created a distraction for the team. I expect LaPorta to let his performance do the talking and remind everyone how valuable he is to the Lions’ offense.
In his last two games against Green Bay, LaPorta recorded 79 and 54 receiving yards, surpassing this line in both matchups.
This season, LaPorta has recorded at least 80 receiving yards in two games. He also has another game with 52 yards, while his remaining two performances saw him finish with 48 and 44 yards.
With a favorable matchup against a familiar divisional opponent, I expect LaPorta to get plenty of opportunities to make an impact. This is my favorite player prop of the week, and I like him to clear 49.5 receiving yards.
3. Jameson Williams Over 3.5 Receptions
Jameson Williams has surpassed this reception total three times this season, while recording two receptions in his other two games.
However, Williams has also hit this mark in three consecutive matchups against the Packers, giving me confidence that he can do it again.
Williams is averaging just under six targets per game and has received at least four targets in every game this season. With Green Bay likely focused on limiting Amon-Ra St. Brown, Williams could have opportunities to take advantage of the coverage and turn those targets into receptions.
I like Williams to haul in at least four catches and hit the over.
Final Picks and Parlay
As always, shop around different sportsbooks to find the best available odds, as lines can vary between markets.
My three picks for Lions vs. Packers are:
* Tucker Kraft: Over 49.5 receiving yards
* Sam LaPorta: Over 49.5 receiving yards
* Jameson Williams: Over 3.5 receptions
A $10 parlay combining all three picks at +446 odds would return $54.60 in total, including $44.60 in profit, if all three bets hit.
Bet responsibly, and good luck!
