New York Giants legend Eli Manning knows a thing or two about how to win in the NFL, even if the Pro Football Hall of Fame Committee may disagree.
Manning won a pair of Super Bowl championships during his time with the Giants, so New York should probably take any advice he has to offer when it comes to developing quarterback Jaxson Dart.
During a recent interview with DJ Siddiqi of Sportsboom, Manning warned the Giants that they really need to get a No. 2 receiver to put alongside Malik Nabers in order to make life easier for Dart going forward.
"I definitely agree that they probably need a true No. 2 to go with Malik Nabers," Manning said. "Some of the best offenses are doing that. I don’t know if they need to do that in the draft, or it kind of depends on free agency. I wouldn’t mind if there’s a good free-agent receiver that could be that No. 2 — kind of that 1B almost."
Wan'Dale Robinson was New York's second option at wide receiver in 2025 and just completed his first 1,000-yard campaign. But while Robinson was unquestionably productive, there is no doubt that his numbers were inflated by Nabers' absence, as Nabers went down with a torn ACL back in Week 4.

That's where Manning feels an experienced veteran would do wonders for Dart, Nabers and New York's offense.
"For Nabers to have that veteran guy, who’s had success and knows what to do and how to get open and just kind of some of those little nuances to be an elite receiver, I think that would be helpful for him," Manning added.
The problem is that the Giants don't have a ton of financial wiggle room. They have $6.9 million in cap room heading into the offseason, and while they can create some space with contract restructures and roster cuts, they may not be entirely comfortable devoting too much money to a receiver with so many other needs.
Plus, Big Blue can also select a wide out with the No. 5 pick of the NFL Draft, where Ohio State's Carnell Tate has regularly been touted as a potential option for the team.
One thing is for sure, though: Manning is right that Dart needs more assistance.
