This isn't good news for the Giants' offense this week.

The New York Giants will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles this week on the road, with the team trying to grab another win.

New York will be coming into the game with a record of 4-2-1 on the year, with the team coming off a bye week. The Giants were able to get some extra rest, but that hasn't stopped the injury bug from hitting the team.

The Giants may be playing this game against the Eagles without the services of starting running back Cam Skattebo. Skattebo missed another practice on Friday, and he has officially been listed as doubtful for the game against Philadelphia.

With Skattebo likely out for the game, the Giants may be forced to turn to a practice squad player at running back this week. Back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is also out, with him being placed on injured reserve recently due to a hamstring injury.

With Skattebo likely to miss the game, there will be more of an emphasis on the passing game, putting pressure on J.J. McCarthy. McCarthy has been a spark for the Giants' offense over the last few weeks, but without a consistent running game, it could be much tougher for him.

Skattebo has rushed for 418 yards this season, with two touchdowns, giving the Giants a boost. The running back is coming off a 124-yard performance against the Houston Texans before the bye week, so this is certainly a blow to the New York offense if he can't give it a go.

McCarthy will be tasked with getting the offense going, feeding the ball to his two favorite targets: Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely. The former first-round draft pick has started to develop nice chemistry with each player, seeing the passing game take off lately.

If the passing game can stay strong this week, the Giants could have a good chance to win the game against the Eagles. But Philadelphia does have a good defense that will pressure New York, making life tough for McCarthy, or at least they will try.

The Eagles are coming into the game on a free fall, having lost six straight games. Philadelphia is very injured entering the contest, especially on offense, so the Giants defense will need to help avoid a major letdown this week.

All in all, losing Skattebo is tough, but the Giants should still have enough to come out with the win if they stay focused. New York can't overlook the Eagles, no matter what, as they try to put another victory in the win column.
