New York Giants fans should have hope for the 2026 season because of Malik Nabers.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton revealed the one reason New York Giants fans should have hope for the 2026 season.

Here is what he said: "Despite being noncommittal about his Week 1 status, Pro Bowl wideout Malik Nabers shed his non-contact jersey at practice early last week, which is a positive sign for his availability."

Nabers tore his ACL in Week 4 last season. He also underwent meniscus surgery and needed an additional cleanup procedure earlier this year to remove scar tissue that was causing stiffness.

Nabers finished with 18 receptions for 271 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns last season. He got hurt against the Los Angeles Chargers at home.

Overall with the Giants, Nabers has 127 catches for 1,475 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl as a rookie and his 127 receptions through the first 19 games of his career rank second to Odell Beckham Jr. in NFL history for the most through 20 games.

Nabers was ranked the 14th-best WR in the NFL by Bleacher Report's scouting department. He was one spot ahead of D.J. Moore of the Buffalo Bills and one spot behind Jaylen Waddle of the Denver Broncos.

"One of the rising stars at the wide receiver position in the NFL, Nabers' 2025 season was limited to four games due to a torn ACL," Bleacher Report wrote. "Pre-injury, he was an explosive route-runner who changed directions suddenly. Nabers moved around the Giants' offensive formations and served as a coverage indicator with pre-snap motions. He displayed springy athleticism, rising over defensive backs and making circus-like catches down the field.

"Everyone's in wait-and-see mode regarding his recovery from two knee surgeries and an unknown timetable for his return. If he returns to a fully healthy and athletically explosive version of himself, Nabers will be higher on this list."

The Giants face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 of the 2026 season. It appears Nabers will play in that game, which is remarkable considering how brutal his knee injury was last season.

New York hasn't made the playoffs since the 2022 season. Let's see how they do in Year 1 of the Harbaugh era.
