New York Giants legend Eli Manning has revealed the biggest problem facing quarterback Jaxson Dart.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart displayed a ton of promise during his rookie campaign, bringing excitement back to the franchise for the first time in eons.

Dart made 12 starts and threw for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 63.7 percent of his passes and posting a 91.7 passer rating.

Additionally, the 22-year-old racked up 487 yards and nine scores as a rusher, averaging a robust 5.7 yards per carry.

Dart has all of the talent in the world and was able to be effective in 2025 in spite of having very limited help. Remember: top wide receiver Malik Nabers tore his ACL during Dart's debut as the starter in Week 4.

But while Dart looks like a potential franchise quarterback for New York, Giants legend Eli Manning has revealed what he feels could be a significant problem for Dart: not getting rid of the ball quick enough.

"The one thing about when you hold the ball longer, or you have the ability to extend plays and do those things, what happens is you end up taking more sacks, and you end up taking more hits," Manning said during an appearance on Dipietro & Rothenberg. "And so those are kind of the negative side of that. It’s just kind of finding that sweet spot of, 'Hey, I need to get the ball out? I need to get completions. I’m fine taking checkdowns. I don’t always have to push the ball down the field.'"

Dart was sacked 35 times during his rookie campaign and suffered a concussion midway through the year. He was also evaluated for concussions five times overall during the regular season and once during the preseason.

The Giants' offensive line was actually better than expected this past season, thanks much in part to star left tackle Andrew Thomas. However, Jermaine Eluemunor also did a great job on the right side. Eluemunor is slated to hit free agency, though, so it would behoove New York to re-sign him.

Manning certainly knows a thing or two about NFL success, having won a pair of Super Bowl championships — as well as two Super Bowl MVPs — throughout his 16-year playing career, all of which came with Big Blue.

Dart has spent a good deal of time with Manning since joining the Giants last spring, so Manning is surely advising him during their private conversations, as well.
