New York Giants starter Jaxson Dart earned a perfect QB grade for his performance against the Dallas Cowboys.
Not only did the New York Giants beat the rival Dallas Cowboys at home to begin the 2026 season, but second-year starter Jaxson Dart also earned a perfect QB grade.
NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report gave Dart an "A+" for his performance against the Cowboys.
Dart finished 23/29 through the air for 230 yards and three passing touchdowns against the Cowboys. He also had 11 carries for 54 rushing yards.
"Dart's performance during Sunday Night Football against the rival Dallas Cowboys was nearly flawless, which portends bigger and better things for the quarterback and his team," Sobleski wrote.
The Giants are 1-0 for only the second time in 10 years. They are looking to make the playoffs in Year 1 of the John Harbaugh era.
Matt Nagy is the Giants' OC. Nagy has worked with several talented QBs and it appears Dart is just the latest one.
"I felt very comfortable," Dart said after the Giants upset the Cowboys. "I thought that we just did a really good job of staying in progress throughout the game. I thought (offensive coordinator Matt Nagy) called an awesome game, and I thought the guys just played really, really hard. So it made my job a lot easier, and guys all over the place made a ton of plays, so I'm excited about that."
Dart finished his rookie season with 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, five interceptions, 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. He completed 63.7% of his passes and went 4-8 as a starter after taking over for Russell Wilson.
Dart was evaluated for a concussion four times in his first nine starts (and once in the preseason) last season. That's way too many.
It's only one game, but Dart was much more careful running the ball against the Cowboys.
Next up for Dart and New York is the Los Angeles Rams, who will be without superstar Myles Garrett. It's also unknown if Aaron Donald will play.
The Giants haven't made the playoffs since the 2022 season. That was the first year of the Brian Daboll era.
It would be quite the story if New York made the playoffs in Year 1 of the Harbaugh era.
