The New York Giants have certainly made some good moves in NFL free agency this offseason, but they still have some needs they must address.
One of the Giants' biggest remaining holes is at defensive tackle, where they could really stand to add a partner alongside of Dexter Lawrence.
That's especially considering there are questions about Lawrence following his miserable 2025 campaign.
While New York can always turn to the NFL Draft for answers (this draft class is slated to be pretty deep at defensive tackle), there are still some intriguing players left on the open market, and Ed Valentine of Big Blue View has identified one fantastic potential fit: future Hall-of-Famer Calais Campbell.
"He is 39 years old and has been playing for 18 seasons, but Campbell is still an excellent player," Valentine wrote. "Pro Football and Sports Network ranked Campbell the No. 22 interior defensive lineman in the NFL last season using its 'Impact Score.' Campbell played for [John] Harbaugh with the Ravens from 2020-2022."
Campbell is one of the longest-tenured players in the league and, as Valentine noted, is still productive. He spent last season with the Arizona Cardinals, starting all 17 games and registering 43 tackles and 6.5 sacks.

Campbell made six Pro Bowl appearances between 2014 and 2020, registering a pair of double-digit sack campaigns throughout that run.
While the University of Miami product may not be quite that dominant anymore, he would still represent a tremendous addition to the Giants' front seven and would make Lawrence's job a heck of a lot easier.
New York has just over $12 million in remaining cap room, so things have gotten pretty tight for Big Blue, but if Campbell is willing to accept a cheap one-year deal (which is what he has been doing in recent seasons), then the Giants should jump on him.
The lack of reported interest in Campbell is definitely puzzling considering how good he still is, but perhaps the 6-foot-8 behemoth is waiting for the perfect situation.
New York can provide that for him, and again, he is very familiar with Harbaugh.
