The New York Giants have been connected to a terrific weapon to help Jaxson Dart.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart managed to put together a very impressive rookie campaign with incredibly limited weaponry at his disposal. Imagine what he could do with some more help?

The Giants are expected to add a wide receiver or two this offseason, and while the vast majority of people are anticipating they will do so via the NFL Draft, Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports seems to think they could add a piece in free agency.

In fact, Pereles has tabbed New York as one of the top destinations for Romeo Doubs.

Doubs spent the first four years of his career with the Green Bay Packers and just completed a 2025 campaign in which he hauled in 55 receptions for 724 yards and six touchdowns, averaging a healthy 13.2 yards per catch.

The 25-year-old — who has hauled in 21 career touchdown grabs — has been part of a very crowded Packers wide receiver rotation throughout his career, so it would be interesting to see what he could do in a larger role.

Of course, Doubs would be the Giants' No. 2 receiver behind Malik Nabers, so it's not like he would be getting No. 1 targets in New York. And he shouldn't; he's not a No. 1 receiver. But he won't be battling with such an extensive depth chart this time around.

Doubs has never registered 800 receiving yards in a single season, so the four-year, $48 million contract he is being projected to receive in free agency (via Spotrac) may seem a bit rich. But again, he's never really had a significant opportunity.

The University of Nevada product would comprise a very solid fit alongside of Nabers, as he is a terrific all-around threat who could open things up downfield and provide Dart with a convenient weapon on those short and intermediate routes.

Now, the question is whether or not Doubs would represent a step back from Wan'Dale Robinson, who posted his first 1,000-yard campaign with Big Blue this past season. The Giants certainly wouldn't be able to sign Doubs and keep Robinson, so it would be a one or the other type of scenario.

In fact, it stands to reason that New York — which has a very tenuous financial situation — might not land either player and could simply punt to the NFL Draft to find a receiver.

But if the Giants do decide to bring in a pass-catcher in free agency, Doubs would be a very nice fit.
