The New York Giants have been given an eye-opening prediction around fantasy football this season.

The New York Giants have a lot of reasons for optimism this coming season, especially after hiring veteran head coach John Harbaugh to take over.

New York has some talented players on the roster, and the goal will be to get back to the playoffs. Quarterback Jaxson Dart is going to have a lot on his shoulders this season, but he seems ready for the challenge.

But one area that the team may not have hope in is fantasy football production from the running back position. While the Giants do have some talented players, there is a rotation in the backfield that could make fantasy owners wary.

Cam Skattebo leads the way for New York, but given that he has been prone to injuries, it could be a risk. Devin Singletary is also there, as well as Najee Harris, whom the team signed recently.

Harris was reportedly brought in under the promise that he would be a significant contributor. This could mean that the Giants will be switching up players each game, which doesn't bode well for fantasy purposes.

Due to this, Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus isn't very high on the Giants rotation entering the new season. In fact, Jahnke believes that the Giants won't have a running back finish within the top-30 of fantasy points this season.

"Skattebo is a talented back, but this could be one of the league’s least fantasy-friendly rotations in one of its worst offensive situations. That combination could make it difficult for any Giants running back to produce consistently," Jahnke wrote.

While this isn't the boldest of takes, it certainly does raise some eyebrows. Harbaugh likes to build his offenses off the running game, but given that the team may use a rotation, it makes sense.

If this were to happen, it could cause some problems when it comes to weekly points and yards for players. So, fantasy owners may want to stay away from the Giants running backs this season, unless there is a clear starter.

The offensive line for the Giants is also a real problem that fantasy players should be concerned with. New York's line is expected to be below-average this season, and this could shape how the running backs perform as well.

Overall, steer clear of the Giants' running backs this season, unless risk taking is warranted. New York has plenty of other players on offense who could make a difference for a fantasy team.
