Giants Roundtable Podcast, Ep. 10: Could New York Trade Jaxson Dart? cover image

Matthew Schmidt and Dylan Feltovich of New York Giants Roundtable discuss the ridiculous possibility of the Giants trading Jaxson Dart plus plenty of other topics in the latest episode of the Giants Roundtable podcast.

There are just two games remaining in the 2025 NFL campaign, and the New York Giants are this close to landing the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

The Giants' Week 17 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders could very well determine whether or not New York ends up with the top selection this coming April, so losing would absolutely be beneficial for the Giants this weekend.

There has also been some ridiculous speculation that New York could trade Jaxson Dart, so Matthew Schmidt and Dylan Feltovich discussed all of that and more in the newest episode of the Giants Roundtable podcast.

The topics are as follows:

  • Jaxson Dart had a rather rough performance against the Minnesota Vikings this past Sunday. How much should we read into the showing by Dart? Does it really mean anything at all? And should the Giants consider sitting Dart for the final two games of the regular season to preserve his health and to make it more likely for New York to land the No. 1 pick?
  • There has been some wild speculation that the Giants could potentially trade Dart and draft Fernando Mendoza this offseason. The very idea is ridiculous, and the chances of it actually happening are slim to none, but Schmidt and Feltovich discussed it and poked holes in the possibility.
  • Wan'Dale Robinson is slated to hit free agency, and his recent comments indicated that he will certainly value getting paid over remaining in New York. How much will Robinson — who has had a breakout season — get in free agency, and will the Giants be able to re-sign him with their delicate salary cap situation?
  • The Giants have been linked to wide receivers Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson in the 2026 NFL Draft, so Schmidt and Feltovich broke down the possibility of New York selecting either one. Who would be the better fit for Big Blue? And should the Giants even be taking a receiver in the first round?
  • New York will be heading to Las Vegas to battle the Raiders this Sunday. Both teams are 2-13, but most would agree that the Giants have the superior roster, particularly when healthy. Taking that into account, New York could win this game, which could cause catastrophic damage to the franchise. Schmidt and Feltovich break down the importance of bagging the No. 1 overall pick for a struggling team like the Giants.

All that and more in the latest edition of the Giants Roundtable podcast.
