This New York Giants player just drew attention to himself for the wrong reasons.
The New York Giants began their voluntary offseason program on Tuesday, and only three key players were absent.
Dexter Lawrence wasn't present, which does not come as a surprise considering he just requested as trade due to his dissatisfaction with his contract.
New defensive lineman Sam Roberts was also missing, but that's because he just underwent surgery and can't travel yet.
But there was one Giants player who was not in the building who really should have been there: cornerback Paulson Adebo.
Head coach John Harbaugh downplayed Adebo's absence, but there is no question that his decision to miss the beginning of offseason workouts won't exactly sit well with Big Blue fans.
"Paulson wasn't here," Harbaugh said. "There's no excused or unexcused. It's voluntary. Guys come or not come according to their choosing. Voluntary-type time of year."
It wouldn't be such a big deal if Adebo wasn't such a massive disappointment in his debut campaign with New York last season.

It was a move that was largely praised at the time given New York's need for secondary help and considering how good Adebo was with the Saints.
However, Adebo struggled throughout 2025, missing five games due to injury and managing a 57.9 coverage grade at Pro Football Focus. That ranked 77th out of 114 qualifying cornerbacks.
The Giants' defensive backfield was a major issue for the team last season, and it hasn't really gotten any better this spring. In fact, one can argue it has gotten worse after New York lost Cor'Dale Flott and replaced him with Greg Newsome II.
Adebo apparently made a personal decision not to attend the start of the Giants' offseason program, which is an interesting choice, to say the least.
You would think the 26-year-old would be eager to have a bounce-back season in 2026, and it's not like he is embroiled in a contract dispute with New York.
Adebo has simply opted to be a no-show, so he isn't exactly doing himself any favors when it comes to the Big Blue faithful.
One thing is for sure: Adebo needs to play a whole lot better next season, or he could end up on the chopping block for the G-Men.
