The New York Giants are hosting former first-round pick cornerback Terrion Arnold for a visit on Wednesday. The Detroit Lions released Arnold earlier in the offseason after he was arrested on eight felony charges.
While a verdict has yet to be made, teams are looking into Arnold, as the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints have also hosted him on a visit.
If Arnold is cleared to play, he could be a quality addition to New York's secondary. He was a talented player at Alabama in college and had two solid seasons with the Lions.
In his rookie season in 2024, Arnold finished with 60 total tackles, 10 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery. In 2025, Arnold appeared in only eight games due to a shoulder injury, recording 31 total tackles, eight pass deflections, and an interception.
The Giants could use more talent in the secondary, and Arnold could be a quality piece for their defense.

The Giants have made a plethora of additions this offseason, including Arvell Reese with the 5th overall pick. New York has a talented pass rush, and adding Reese into the fold could make it difficult for offenses to scheme against the Giants' defense.
Reese is coming off an All-American season at Ohio State, as he finished with 69 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and two pass deflections. He now joins Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, and Kayvon Thibodeaux in what could be one of the best pass rushes in the league.
With the elite pass rushers, it will help ease pressure off of New York's secondary. If the Giants add a player of Arnold's caliber, he could develop into a good starter behind their fierce pass rush.
Although it's still unknown if Arnold will be able to play in 2026, if he is cleared, he could be a great fit for New York's defense, but they will have competition from other teams to land him.
