The New York Giants could still add one more Pro Bowl player this offseason.

The New York Giants have been very busy this month, making some significant moves in free agency to improve their intriguing roster on both sides of the ball.

However, there are still some holes to fill.

The Giants have needs at wide receiver, defensive tackle, cornerback and interior offensive line, and while some of those issues could be addressed in the NFL Draft, New York might still want to add another veteran to plug one of the gaps.

Connor Hughes of SNY was asked about the Giants' guard situation in a recent mailbag, and he floated one possibility for New York: three-time Pro Bowler Wyatt Teller.

"Yes, they’re still involved in that market and looking for value signings. I wouldn’t rule out Wyatt Teller yet," Hughes wrote. "His price tag — $10 million annually at the start of free agency — just isn’t something the Giants are interested in at the moment."

Teller's price has almost surely come down by this point, but New York definitely still wants to be careful with how much more it spends.

The Giants currently have $25.8 million in cap room thanks to freeing up $15.1 million by restructuring Brian Burns' contract, but remember: they need to save some of that money for draft picks, and teams always keep some money free for midseason moves.

New York could always bring back Greg Van Roten on a cheap one-year deal, as he actually did a solid job in 2025 with a 70.1 PFF pass-blocking grade. In fact, he was far better than Teller, who scored a 53.1 grade in that department.

Teller definitely has more of an established track record than Van Roten, but the 31-year-old has steeply declined over the past couple of seasons. Taking that into consideration, the Giants would probably be better off going the cheaper route with Van Roten and then selecting a guard in the NFL Draft.

Hughes notes that's actually the most probable path for Big Blue.

"A return for Van Roten feels likely, as does targeting an interior offensive lineman in the second round," Hughes added.

The problem is that the Giants don't have a third-round pick, and with so many needs to fill, it will be tough for New York to address everything in the draft next month.
