The New York Giants have received a rather surprising outlook from a major publication.
The New York Giants have not exactly gotten a whole lot of positive reviews from the national media over the last decade-plus, and why would they?
After all, the Giants have made just two playoff appearances since winning their last Super Bowl in February 2012, and this past season, they went just 4-13.
However, the tide appears to be turning in New York (or New Jersey; whatever you want to call it).
The Giants hired John Harbaugh to be their head coach during the offseason, and they also made a handful of significant moves in free agency. Additionally, New York put together a draft class that has been mostly lauded.
So is there actually hope for Big Blue heading into 2026?
Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon recently published a piece where he rated the excitement meter for each team, and he gave the Giants a 9.
"The potential is undeniable, and there is a huge delta between ceiling and floor for a team that is loaded with intriguing young talent on both sides of the ball and has brought in a Super Bowl-winning head coach," Gagnon wrote.

The G-Men blew a ton of double-digit leads (a classic sign of a young and inexperienced team ... and also a poorly coached one), so much so that you can make an argument they should have been 7-10 or 8-9.
Harbaugh should help rectify that, as should the acquisitions New York has brought into assist Jaxson Dart as well as the defense this spring.
It's also important to remember that Malik Nabers tore his ACL in Dart's first start last year, so the young quarterback did not even really get a chance to play with his top wide receiver in 2025.
The Giants absolutely have some issues going into next season. Dart still needs to prove himself, Nabers' health is up in the air and New York's cornerback room is a pretty significant question mark.
That being said, there is no doubt that there is quite a lot to be excited about if you're a Giants fan, even if it means the ballclub will miss the playoffs again.
