The New York Giants landed just one player in the Pro Bowl this season, with edge rusher Brian Burns being the Giants' lone representative.
You could argue, however, that New York could have sent one more player to San Francisco, particularly left tackle Andrew Thomas.
Following the news that Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was named a Pro Bowl alternate for the AFC squad this week, Giants offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor — who is slated to hit free agency — dropped a blunt opinion on social media.
"No hate but the Pro Bowl a joke lol," Eluemunor posted on X. "AT Top LT in the NFL hasn’t made one yet but if you’re popular you get in. Laughable at this point"
Eluemunor is clearly referencing Sanders' admission into the Pro Bowl, and he feels that if Sanders — who played in just eight games and threw seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season — was selected, Thomas should be, too.
He definitely makes an obviously good point.

Now, to be fair, Thomas has missed ample time with injuries. He played in just 16 games combined between 2023 and 2024, and he also missed four contests this year. But Thomas was thoroughly dominant when he was on the field in 2025.
The University of Georgia product posted a 90.3 overall grade at Pro Football Focus, which ranked fourth among 89 qualifying tackles. He allowed just one sack and two quarterback hits all season, and he committed only three penalties.
There is no question that Thomas is one of the best tackles in the league when healthy, so the fact that he has not made a single Pro Bowl yet is definitely wild.
As for Eluemunor, New York signed the 31-year-old to a two-year, $14 million contract in 2024. He is now headed for the open market and is coming off of a pretty solid campaign himself, having registered a 76.7 pass-blocking grade at PFF.
Whether or not the Giants re-sign Eluemunor remains to be seen, but it seems more likely they will either draft a right tackle or go with Marcus Mbow at the position next fall.
