The New York Giants are being projected to make an important move for quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Cultivating Jaxson Dart will be the most important task for the New York Giants this offseason. Yes, they have needs elsewhere, but nothing is more vital to the Giants' future than the development of Dart.
New York must ensure that Dart is properly protected and has enough weapons at his disposal next season, which is certainly complicated by the fact that offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor and wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson are both hitting free agency next month.
While Robinson may prove difficult to keep given his projected contract demands, Eluemunor should be a much simpler player to re-sign.
Mason Cameron of Pro Football Focus put together a list of the top five tackles entering the open market, and Eluemunor qualified. Cameron then tabbed the Giants as the best fit for the 31-year-old.
"Although he has struggled as a run blocker at times, Eluemunor is well worth a new contract," Cameron wrote. "His 98.0 PFF pass-blocking efficiency rating tied for seventh best among linemen with at least 200 pass sets at tackle. He also posted grades above the 80th percentile in all four of PFF’s stable pass-blocking metrics, including PFF pass-blocking grade on true pass sets."

Spotrac is projecting Eluemunor to land a two-year, $17.3 million deal in free agency, which, even with the Giants' rough cap situation, is certainly affordable.
Of course, New York can always go with a tackle like Spencer Fano or Francis Mauigoa with the No. 5 overall pick of the NFL Draft this April, but the Giants may choose to just re-sign Eluemunor and use that draft choice on another position of need.
New York's offensive line was surprisingly solid in 2025, and that was thanks mostly to the tackle tandem of Eluemunor and Andrew Thomas. Big Blue still needs some work on the interior, which is where John Harbaugh and Joe Schoen should be directing their attention when it comes to the trenches.
Unless the Giants are planning on targeting a tackle on Day 1 of the draft, retaining Eluemunor should be a slam-dunk decision for them.
