New York Giants Roundtable Podcast, Ep. 14: The Culture Has Shifted cover image

Matthew Schmidt and Dylan Feltovich of New York Giants Roundtable discuss the addition of John Harbaugh, potential free-agent signings and a whole lot more in the newest episode of the Giants Roundtable Podcast.

The New York Giants have officially hired John Harbaugh to be their new head coach, beginning the dawn of a new era in the Big Apple.

It's an exciting time for the Giants, who have been in desperate need of a jolt for the last decade-plus.

Harbaugh is bringing 18 years of head-coaching experience with him, and he unquestionably represents the best hire New York has made since Tom Coughlin over 20 years ago.

Matthew Schmidt and Dylan Feltovich of Giants Roundtable discussed Harbaugh and more in the newest episode of the Giants Roundtable podcast.

The topics are as follows:

  • With the Giants hiring Harbaugh, is it safe to say that the culture has shifted in New York? The Giants had gone through four head coaches — and two interims — since between Coughlin and Harbaugh, so bringing in the Super Bowl winner is a breath of fresh air. Can Big Blue expect instant positive changes with Harbaugh in tow?
  • Apparently, Harbaugh wants to be aggressive in free agency, and rumor has it that he wants to lure some of his former Baltimore Ravens players to the Meadowlands. Center Tyler Linderbaum and tight end Isaiah Likely have both been floated as possibilities. How much would it help the Giants to land either of those players?
  • Kayvon Thibodeaux and Carl Banks engaged in a little exchange over social media this week after Banks reported that Giants players had been calling around the league to ask what to expect from Harbaugh. Thibodeaux responded by denying the rumor, which indicates that the edge rusher could be back in New York next season. Schmidt and Feltovich discuss whether or not a Thibodeaux return makes sense.
  • In this week's NFL Draft spotlight, Schmidt and Feltovich highlighted Indiana Hoosiers cornerback D'Angelo Ponds, who could represent a candidate for the Giants this April. But would the undersized defensive back actually be an appropriate fit in New York?
  • Now that Harbaugh is leading the charge, where do the Giants stand in the NFC East? The division is definitely wide open right now with the Philadelphia Eagles showing serious vulnerability this year, and neither the Dallas Cowboys nor the Washington Commanders are all that impressive. Could New York actually make a run at the division title in 2026?

All that and more in the latest episode of Giants Roundtable.
