New York Giants Roundtable Podcast, Ep. 17: NFL Draft Surprises? cover image

Matthew Schmidt and Dylan Feltovich of New York Giants Roundtable discuss some potential NFL Draft surprises, Cor'Dale Flott's free agency status, Jaxson Dart disrespect and more in the newest episode of the Giants Roundtable podcast.

The NFL offseason is now officially underway, and that means a whole lot of New York Giants buzz will start occurring in the coming weeks.

Free agency is right around the corner, and the NFL Draft is just two months away.

With John Harbaugh now in charge, it should create a very interesting and exciting spring for the Giants, who may have a chance to make a playoff push next year with the right moves this offseason.

Matthew Schmidt and Dylan Feltovich discussed it all in the newest episode of the Giants Roundtable podcast.

The topics are as follows:

- Jaxson Dart was recently ranked 23rd in NFL.com's quarterback rankings following the 2025 campaign, and he also finished a distant fourth in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. Is Dart being disrespected? Or is this par for the course? Also, should we expect some regression from Dart in Year 2?

- Cor'Dale Flott recently signed with Athletes First, meaning he could end up getting a major pay day in free agency. To what lengths should the Giants go in attempting to re-sign him? Is it worth paying a No. 2 cornerback such big money? Or should New York just pivot to taking corner in the draft?

- Harbaugh recently raved about safety Caleb Downs and essentially said that if he is on the board when the Giants pick at No. 5, they will take him. What should we make of this? Will New York really be taking a safety with its first-round pick? Or is this all just a smokescreen on the part of Big Blue?

- What are some potential surprises for the Giants in the NFL Draft? There seems to be wildly varying opinions on what New York will do with its top draft choice, with a recent mock draft even projecting the G-Men to select linebacker Sonny Styles. Is it possible Giants fans could be in for a big surprise this April?

- In this week's NFL Draft breakdown, Schmidt and Feltovich decided to highlight Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper, who is rising on draft boards and could represent an option for the receiver-needy Giants at No. 37. What is there to like about Cooper, and how well would he fit alongside of Malik Nabers in New York?

All that and more in the newest episode of the Giants Roundtable podcast.
