The Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh as head coach and the New York Giants are trying to pick him up.
According to Connor Hughes of SNY, the Giants are "all-in" on Harbaugh.
The Giants need a new head coach after firing Brian Daboll during the season. Mike Kafka took over for Daboll on an interim basis.
New York went 4-13 this season. They finished with the worst record in the NFC East.
Harbaugh is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. He went 180-113 in the regular season and 13-11 in the playoffs with the Ravens.
Baltimore won Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers, 34-31.
The Giants haven't made the playoffs since the 2022 season. That was Year 1 of the Daboll era.
Harbaugh is being pursued by every team without a head coach. The Giants would be wise to offer him a boatload of money. Harbaugh figures to work well with QB Jaxson Dart, who has a similar playstyle as Lamar Jackson.
Dart finished his rookie season with 2,272 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, five interceptions, 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. For the first time in the post-Eli Manning era, the Giants appear to have a franchise QB.
Now, they just need to hire the right coach to bring the best out of Dart and Harbaugh fits that bill to a T.
