The New York Giants definitely need more weapons for Jaxson Dart with Malik Nabers out for the season and Darius Slayton managing a hamstring injury.
Yes, the Giants dropped 34 points in a blowout win over the Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday, but that probably isn't sustainable with New York's current offensive setup. Wan'Dale Robinson was the Giants' only truly dependable receiver in Week 6, and even if Lil'Jordan Humphrey (who was elevated from the practice squad) and Jalin Hyatt stepped up, Big Blue cannot expect to continue on with so little depth in its receiving corps.
The good news is that the Giants have until the NFL trade deadline next month to settle the score, and Chase Senior of Chat Sports has reported that New York is interested in San Francisco 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings.
Jennings was floated as a potential trade candidate during the offseason after being denied a contract extension from the 49ers, and he got into a sideline spat with head coach Kyle Shanahan during the team's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday.

The caveat is that Jennings is playing through broken ribs and an ankle injury, and it has clearly affected his performance to date, as he has logged just 10 catches for 136 yards and a touchdown in four games.
Last year, however, Jennings hauled in 77 receptions for 975 yards and six scores in what was a long-awaited breakout campaign for the former seventh-round pick.
Jennings is in the final year of his contract and carries a very tiny $4.3 million cap hit for this season. He is expected to land a rather lucrative multi-year deal in free agency, although his stock may have taken a hit thus far in 2025.
The problem for the Giants is draft capital. They traded their 2026 third-round pick in the Dart deal back in April, and there is no way they are moving a second-rounder for Jennings.
Some have suggested that New York can dangle edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux in trade packages for wide receivers, but the Giants would probably also require a draft pick from the 49ers themselves if San Francisco asked for Thibodeaux in a deal for Jennings.
New York definitely needs another wide receiver, and Jennings is intriguing, to say the least. However, it may prove too complicated to acquire the 28-year-old.
The Giants would probably be better off going after Chris Olave, even though the cost would be more significant.
