For 18 seasons, at the end of games that were clearly going the Green Bay Packers' way, Aaron Rodgers basked in the chants of "Go Pack Go". It didn't matter if it was at Lambeau Field or somewhere else, Rodgers was always serenaded by an adoring fanbase.
On Sunday Night Football in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season, Rodgers found himself on the opposite side of that adoration. Representing the Pittsburgh Steelers, he watched as his former protégé, Jordan Love, and his former team, the Green Bay Packers, came roaring back out of the locker room after halftime to secure a 35-25 win that wasn't as close as the final score indicated.
Rodgers won four MVP awards while with the Packers, but it was Love who looked like the MVP on Sunday Night. Love, almost 27, looked like a true superstar, while the quarterback he was drafted to replace, Rodgers (almost 42) looked far from vintage.
Yes, he had some moments, but credit Jeff Hafley's defense for figuring him out after halftime. Green Bay outscored Pittsburgh, 28-9, in the second half of the game, the Packers won the turnover battle, 1-0, and Rodgers was sacked three times by his old team.
The end result was arguably Green Bay's second-most impressive win of the season, and these four players were the stars of the game.
Most players need some time to get re-acclimated to the speed of the NFL when they come back from an ACL injury. Apparently, Christian Watson is not most players.
Less than 10 months after tearing an ACL in his right knee, Watson made his presence known for the Packers against the Steelers.
He caught four passes for 85 yards, averaging 21.3 yards per catch with a long of 33.
The thought upon Watson's return to the field for Green Bay was that he could really open up the offense, and he proved that theory right on Sunday Night.
Rodgers had to know where Micah Parsons was on every play, and even then, it didn't matter much. Parsons, much like he's done all season for the Pack, created pressure each and every time he got after the quarterback.
He finished with one sack, one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit, but even Rashan Gary's two sacks and two quarterback hits could be credited to Parsons as an assist.
Oh, and blocked by three players? That's just an average Sunday for Parsons:
If Love has a few more games like this on national television, he's going to be in the MVP conversation. Heck, much like the quarterback he beat on Sunday night, he may even win the NFL's MVP award.
It took some time for Green Bay's offense to heat up, but once Love got the Packers rolling in the second half, he was hard to stop.
He finished the game having completed 29-of-37 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns with a passer-rating of 134.2. At one point, he had completed 20 passes in a row, which is something that even Rodgers never did as a Packer.
It's just Brett Favre and Love in that exclusive club, which goes to show you how good he was on Sunday night.
Sunday was National Tight Ends Day in the NFL, and Tucker Kraft felt like celebrating.
He was a monster against the Steelers and ended up finishing with seven catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 20.4 yards per catch.
No player in the NFL put up more individual yardage than Kraft in Week 8, and it was fitting that it came on the day it did. Kraft may very well be the best tight end in the NFL at present moment.
