Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams hates the Green Bay Packers, but he has a lot of respect for Aaron Rodgers.
Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams recently paid homage to Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers.
Williams was asked who is on his quarterback Mount Rushmore and the Bears star went with Tom Brady, Rodgers and Joe Montana, three NFL icons.
Rodgers has been in the NFL since 2005. He has played for the Packers, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rodgers spent the first 18 years of his career with the Packers. He went 147-75-1 in the regular season and 11-10 in the playoffs. The NFL legend won four MVPs, one Super Bowl and one Super Bowl MVP and made 10 Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams.
The Packers beat the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. Ironically, Rodgers and former Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy are now members of Pittsburgh.
Rodgers has the most touchdown passes in Packers history with 475. He's second in passing yards to Brett Favre.
Green Bay traded Rodgers to the Jets in 2023 to begin the Jordan Love era. Rodgers appeared in only 18 games with New York. He was released in 2025 and joined the Steelers.
One of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, Rodgers has 527 career passing touchdowns and 66,274 career passing yards in the regular season with the Packers, Jets and Steelers. He will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer one day.
Rodgers, 42, called it a "full circle" moment to be able to play for McCarthy again.
"Honestly, sitting in the first 8 o'clock meeting on Monday took me back to being a 22-year-old kid sitting in Green Bay, listening to Mike's first meeting in 2006," Rodgers said. "It's fun. I mean, it's like 'pinch me' moments. It's been happening the last few days, getting to sit next to [offensive line coach] James Campen in the meetings is fun. [Assistant offensive line coach] Jahri Evans was a teammate of mine. He's on his staff now as a Hall of Famer -- should be a Hall of Famer. That's pretty cool too. A lot of connections."
The Packers will retire Rodgers' No. 12 jersey when he officially retires from the NFL. Rodgers will end his football career after the 2026 season.
